Aloha Friends!
Tony Robbins is famous for saying this, “The quality of your life is shaped by the quality of your questions.”
For me, three simple words—“Why can’t I…?”—have been the most powerful questions of my life. They’ve pulled me into the tunnel of curiosity, led me into some uncomfortable truths, and ultimately… straight into the world of self-care and personal responsibility.
Before I tell you my story, I want you to think of one thing you’ve been struggling with lately. Maybe it’s something physical, maybe it’s emotional, maybe it’s a habit you can’t seem to change. Take a moment.
Now silently complete this sentence in your own mind: “Why can’t I…?” Just notice what comes up for you—no judgment, no fixing yet—just awareness.
My journey into fitness began in 1999. And my daily question back then? “Why can’t I feel good in my own body?” No matter what I ate, I would get bloated and gassy immediately and my stomach hurt. I’d wake up bloated, constantly hungry, and craving everything that was unhealthy. I was only 23—but I felt like I was 43.
I didn’t know it then, but my nervous system was in overdrive—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I was living in a constant stress state, my body was waving the red flag and my health was paying the price. So I started asking myself that question: “Why can’t I feel good in my own body?” That one question launched a 25 year journey into self-care, healing, and discovering my life’s purpose.
And now, my mission is clear. To inspire and empower people to care for themselves more deeply than ever before. When you care for yourself fully—with pure intention in body, mind, and spirit—you don’t just create a better life for yourself… you create a better world for everyone around you. And that’s why I wrote this book, to help you start listening to your body and it all starts with connecting to your breath
I used to think meditation was about tuning the world out—but it’s not. It’s the art of noticing all the noise around you while staying centered, quiet, and still on the inside. And it doesn’t take 20–30 minutes of sitting perfectly still. It can happen in moments—if you have the right tools and coaching.
Meditation isn’t about escaping discomfort—it’s about facing it until it no longer controls you. Healing begins the moment you stop running and learn to sit with what is. And your breath is the superpower that makes it possible—it regulates your nervous system and helps you reclaim control of your mind and body.
I’m thrilled to share with you my very first book—along with many more to come—all beginning with these three powerful words. I am committed to helping people care for themselves more deeply, so they can show up stronger, clearer, and create a better world inside and out.
With breath & love,
